About Us
Since our beginning in 1978, our practice was recognized as a leader in the treatment of children’s eyes. Over the years many pediatricians and family practitioners readily sought our expertise for the treatment of their pediatric patients coming to them with Strabismus, Amblyopia, eye injuries and various eye diseases. Many parents were pleased with their child’s care and treatment and referred many other family members, friends, neighbors and co workers to our practice.
Our approach to the treatment and care for you or your child is one of a team approach. Our physicians, optometrists and opticians all work together in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Many of our patients are successfully treated by in-office and non-surgical techniques. When the need arises, we maintain surgical privileges at many area hospitals. Routine visits will include a comprehensive ophthalmology eye exam and optometry services. Our Young Eyes Optical Department works closely with our medical staff to assure that each patient is properly fitted with high quality frames and precisely crafted lenses.
Over the years, to better serve our patients’ vision needs, we have embraced new ideas, technology and techniques. We are proud of our community work and sponsorship of vision projects at the Baltimore Zoo, National Aquarium, and Maryland Science Center. We have enjoyed presenting educational sessions regarding pediatric and adult eye care at various schools, organizations, and governmental bodies as well as actively participating with many public and private organizations dedicated to vision issues.
