Contact Lenses
Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates offers complete contact lens care. Parents frequently ask," How old does my child have to be to wear contact lenses?" Usually a twelve-year-old child is old enough to wear them, but a certain level of responsibility should be demonstrated.
In order to make the transition to contacts easier, Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates organizes a step-by-step process. First, a contact lens evaluation is scheduled. During this exam, the patient is examined specifically for contact lenses. The type, size, and power of the contact lens is determined and the patient will be properly fit for contacts. Once a perfectly fitting lens is selected, the patient will be thoroughly instructed how to insert and remove the lenses, how to care for the lenses, and how to clean them. Subsequent visits are scheduled as needed to ensure proper care of the lenses.

contact lens wear is very safe. Our professional staff is available 24 hours a
day if a problem should occur. Regular appointments are offered at convenient
times such as after school, evenings, and weekends.
