Stuart
R. Dankner, MD, FAAP, FACS specializes in Pediatric and Adolescent Ophthalmology
and Adult Strabismus and practices in Baltimore, Westminster, Clarksville and
Eldersburg, Maryland. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and
is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy
of Pediatrics.
In Baltimore, Dr. Dankner is on staff at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Sinai Hospital, Saint Joseph Hospital, and Carroll County General Hospital. He has served as president of the Maryland Society for Sight and is currently Chairman of the Society's Eye Safety Committee.

Dean
L. Fiergang, MD, FAAP, FACS. is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology
and is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Fiergang is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the
American College of Surgeons and also currently serves on the Executive Board
of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Fiergang teaches resident physicians at both University of Maryland and Maryland General Hospitals.
Dr. Fiergang specializes in Pediatric and Adolescent Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. He practices in Baltimore, Westminster, Clarksville and Eldersburg, and is on staff at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Sinai Hospital, Carroll County General Hospital, Maryland General Hospital, Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital where he provides ophthalmic care to the Neonatal intensive care unit.
Samuel P. Andorsky, MD A native of Baltimore, Dr. Andorsky received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and his M.D. from Brown Medical School. After an internship in Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital, he completed his Ophthalmology residency at Maryland General Hospital, followed by a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the University of Michigan.
Dr Andorsky is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He specializes in Pediatric and Adolescent Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus and is on staff at several hospitals in the Baltimore area. Dr Andorsky is an enthusiastic teacher for the Maryland General and University of Maryland ophthalmology residents.

as authors and consultants for various local and national publications and news
bureaus. Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates have been awarded “top Doc”
by Baltimore Magazine and “Best Ophthalmology Practice in Howard County”

Meet Our Optometrists
Lisa
A. Thomas, O.D.
Dr. Lisa Thomas is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Western Maryland College, now McDaniel College. Dr Thomas earned her optometric degree, as well as a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Vision Sciences, at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr Thomas joined Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates over 15 years ago and has extensive experience in fitting contact lenses in adults, teens and even newborns with congenital cataracts. She holds a therapeutic license in the State of Maryland and enjoys examining younger children and adults as well as treating eye infections and injuries.
Jill M. Vocci, O.D.
Dr. Jill Vocci is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North Carolina State University. Dr Vocci earned her degree in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where she also earned clinical honors in pediatrics. After practicing in Pennsylvania, Dr. Vocci returned to her native Maryland and joined our practice in 2006. She appreciates working with children and adults, and has a special interest in contact lenses.
Sharon
Choi, O.D.
Dr. Sharon Choi is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida. She obtained her optometric degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr Choi joined Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates in 2007, and has extensive experience in pediatric eye care and contact lenses.
Asifa Shafi, O.D.
Dr. Asifa Shafi is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. A native New Yorker, Dr Shafi completed her undergraduate degree at Stoney Brook University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry at SUNY College of Optometry, and then completed residency certification at both the Baltimore and Perry Point VA Hospitals. Dr Shafi joined Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates in January of 2008 and enjoys examining both adults and children of all ages.
Abraham Zuckerbrod, OD
Dr. Abraham Zuckerbrod is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Yeshiva University in New York City, and then earned his Masters in Vision Science and Doctorate in Optometry from the State University New York College of Optometry. Dr. Zuckerbrod has been published in The Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness. Dr Zuckerbrod trained at the Baltimore Veterans Administration Hospital before joining Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates in 2011. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
Dr. Judy Samattasribootr, OD
Dr. Judy Samattasribootr, also known as Dr. Judy, is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association and Maryland Optometric Association. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Neurobiology at University of California, Irvine. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry and completed her residency certification in Pediatric Optometry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr Judy joined Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates in 2011. She enjoys examining adults and children of all ages, speaking in Spanish and Thai when she can, and volunteering around the community.
Meet Our Orthoptists
An orthopist is an eye muscle therapist, doing amblyopia therapy, diagnostic and pre-operative testing for children and adults with eye muscle disorders.
Linda Klitenic, C.O.
Linda Klitenic has been with Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates since 1993. She received her B.A. degree from George Washington University. Following graduation she entered the Orthoptic Training program at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Linda loves what she does. She says it is so rewarding to be able to be part of the process of helping a patient.
Elizabeth Donoghue, C.O.
Elizabeth Donoghue is a certified orthoptist who has worked at Dankner Fiergang Eye Associates for twenty years. Liz has a BS in Health Education and completed her orthoptic training at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital. Helping children achieve their best possible vision and helping adults find relief from their double vision are her two favorite aspects of her job.
